New character! Who's surprised at this point? This isn't even the only new character I've got.
Here we have H'io'thulh (two syllables, pronounced H-y-thool). A squid-like eldritch being summoned by Laiken one night when she was bored. It turns out she got very lucky and managed to summon an eldritch being that is not only not malevolent, but also has a fascination with earthlings (particularly furries and scalies). The two of them talked for a long time and got to know each other. Over time, a romance blossomed. Now the two are inseparable. Laiken really wants H'io'thulh to experience the world outside her house, but is worried how people will react to a literal alien. So, with the help of her friends, she's enlisted the assistance of a certain inventor (the same one who created BLISS) to create a suit H'io'thulh could wear as a disguise. (I'll be posting a pic of him in this suit very soon.)
H'io'thulh's personality is very kind, if a bit invasive. He's very curious about the world he now lives in and tries to learn as much as he can. He also loves movies. His favorites are sci-fi. He thinks they're hilarious.
