Haling from Sorovia, Cynthia “drifted” to Belka, settling in the central kingdom of Glatisant. There she met the likes of Dision, Bernard and Yuki. While she shared a relationship with Bernard for a time, she ultimately settled down with Yuki (although she still maintained a close friendship with the former). From their, they had two children - Aurora and Detlef. When Dision resurfaced along with his cult, Cynthia became Yuki’s deputy when he took over leadership from Elrich, and would sit on the war council with him. Also she took on part-time role assisting Crux in treating wounded soldiers. While not a much fighter (having never ever taking part in a single battle), she would never back down from a fight when push comes to shove. Even before she was elevated to a leadership role, she was known to be a popular individual within Glatisant. Always approachable, open-minded and compassionate, along with having a good sense of humour. Qualities that would come to be embodied in her youngest son, Aurora.

But beneath her motherly exterior is a dragoness that is emotionally scarred and suffering from depression as a result of a traumatic childhood. After her father died, she and her sister Tarafii were left with their mother Jadithian. She didn’t do much in the way of providing for them, leaving that up to her mate before his death. As Jadithian was also suffering from depression, she didn’t care much for her children’s wellbeing, and Cynthia would often call her out for it, leading to many violent outbursts where Jadithian would abuse her daughters. Eventually the sisters decided to run away from their mother, knowing she was beyond any help, let alone redemption. They want their seperate ways thereafter.

But for Cynthia, the trauma she had endured had taken its toll. With no one or nowhere to turn to, she fell into her own depression and found herself drifting from place to place, until wounding up in Belka. She slept with several males in the vain attempt of relieving herself of her pain - one of them being Bernard. When this didn't work, she resorted to commiting suicide, only stopping when Bernard found out, and and began to work with her to combat her depression. While she’s done what she could to manage it, that isn’t to say she’s free of it entirely - occasionally having very tearful mood-swings from time to time. Only a few have seen her in that state as she does her best to hide it, as she does not want anyone to worry about her.

Then of course was her relationship with Yuki, that while harbouring many wonderful moments she cherishes to this day, was difficult at times owing to his nature, and the fact he was constantly working, leaving her to look after their sons. Because of this disconnection, Yuki didn’t fully understand the day-to-day struggles not only his mate went through, but also Detlef - having inherited the same mental illness. Something that frustrated Cynthia very much. But it was during the war with Dision's cult that their relationship was stretched to breaking point, as he did not mount any effort to search for Detlef when he was “kidnapped” by the cult, nor did he seem to believe in Aurora’s innocence when he was wrongfully accused of treason.

Cynthia wears a talisman that was given to her by her friend Bernard as a good-luck charm. Given he was more than aware of her current mental and emotional state, he hoped it would help her recover from the trauma she endured as a child, and move forward with her life. Although neither were aware of the magical properties the talisman embodied at first, Cynthia would come to utilise it to help heal soldiers with small wounds, as it’s not powerful to simply stitch limbs back together. Although it is rumoured to have the power to completely neutralise dark magic, at the expense of talisman’s self-destruction. Despite the rumours and alleged limitations, Cynthia still treasures it as she feel’s it symbolises she’ll one day she will be able to heal. Knowing she has friends and a family, who despite all the woes, loves her very much, she remains hopeful that day will come soon.
