Cute. but gives me a bad vibe. As Big Fellas that are total dick heads. will eat the small Pokemon, Stomp and kill them.. Or torture them...
If anything. I'd prefer no shrinkage at all. Or option B: They go into a dormant statis state. Like a stoneball. Akin to Reshiram and Zekrom's statis stoneball state. Adept Not taking forever to recover. just hours, to a month tops. (Averages days to a week.)
The Stone statis state is indestructible. So, it cannot be broken. And if consumed? Well, they would have to get it out of their stomach.
Can be Burst heart crystals too.
