I got a silly idea in my head based on a spell from Pathfinder, so I made a character... <shrugs> Yes, he is a necromancer, heh.
The effect going on his/her, probably his, familiar is called 'Shadow Projection', which lets it operate as a Shadow, you know the monster. No create-spawn, and so the strength damage doesn't kill at 0... but it is pretty nuts. The Familiar has the soul of the character's uncle, and imaginary so if he dies he comes back the next day... and has a few evolutions... What looks like a collar is a brass-telescoping thing, gives the tiny-arse raven a reach of 10 feet... it also has more feats, while the character has less... And the familiar has a full base-attack-bonus, hehe. c.c
Created a backstory with a 'unique group' of people following Jistall (god who works to prevent world-destroying calamities, etc) from PF, I... do these things. c.c Anyways, he's an Aasimar of Halfling heritage from Thuvia (In Garund, aka: pathfinder africa, northern africa), and he's an albino due to the kind of Aasimar he is. Is a bit part of why only the face is exposed, the rest is clothes or gloves or whatever, and scarves to pull up to protect himself from the sunlight whenever needed. No issue animated unintelligent undead, classifying them as 'evil' is a misnomer (says the wizard, who can be seen as magic-scientists)... I didn't include it in the drawing, but he's got a bloody-skeleton-tiger with a 'for small creatures' howdah on its back, with chain-shirt barding... because I could do it, and sounds fun... I usually run all the games I'm in, this would be one of ~the most annoying~ characters to deal with if he was an antagonist... c.c If you 'kill' the Shadow Projection, the person who was projecting recovers at -1 HP and just unconscious... be resuscitated easily, then re-shadowed and sent out. >.> The familiar has a... <does math> ...+19 stealth without actually putting any effort in to it. c.c Familiars are under-rated, hehe. c.c
Anyways, sorry for the rambling, hope you all enjoy it. Remember I like comments. ^^;

Well... 'when properly buffed', but... the familar's buff spell (which had to wait for lv 7 to get) is... really nice with a long duration (1 hr / cl)... but, before-then it would be handing out +2 hit to 2 party-members a round as it rides the wizard's hat, lv 5 gaining an ability to give +2 AC to the wizard's AC occasionally, so... yeah, nabad. :)
Hey, at 9th level he's given up 2 feats to it, and another at 10th level... soooo.... Birb isn't 'free'. Also there's a ton of RP involved since the 'spirit binder' familiar archetype has a loved one who died who becomes the familiar's spirit, as the character tried to save them or some other RP element... ^^; Is fun.
