Seven months ago [Back in June 2021] I stopped at one of my favorite official overlooks along the Blue Ridge Parkway and spent sunset watching the colors, clouds, and mountains. Months of waiting for greenery to sprout out and present paid off. While the grand vista was my primary goal, this photo was something that caught my eye at the time in the moment. When I got home, like all of us photographers tend to do, I focused on the main shot. Now here in January of 2022 I began browsing my years catalog and beginning to make small edits, and this photo from that shoot is what really captured my imagination. Longing for times where I can slip out into the world once more, stand atop a mountain and watch the world turn.
