Ah, Riven: The Sequel to Myst. A game I hadn't played in decades but stuck with me so fondly. I called it the "Dirt Game" as a kid when I played it, presumably because there were plenty of dirt paths to explore. The thing that stuck with me the most was the surreal nature of the graphics. That style of video game scenery is still my favorite to this day. Photorealism pales in comparison. But I digress.
This was drawn whilst reminiscing about the hours i spent playing it on a PC with lovely neon boot screens (i'm pretty sure they're just typical Win98 bios screens but the effervescent nature of these memories lends them an otherworldly grandeur in recollection.)
Look for a spiritual sequel in the Snepperware Catalog from Snep Corp. under "Personal Computer Experiences"
