In the ancient past, a crystalline alien race The Minerites came to Earth in order to colonize it. They expected little resistance from the seemingly primitive races that lived on it. How wrong they were. Many heroes of the past like the noble King Gilgamesh, Atlantian Golden Skull warrior champion, Elrik of the Marrowborn, and others, along with the numerous creatures of legend repelled the invasion with great ease. The fleet was sent away with tails between their legs. However, The Crawling Chaos himself Nyarlathotep wasn't happy with the result. He went all the way to their home planet and core cracked it in retaliation. That is why, today, the planet is a collection of celestial chunks barely held together by the Diamondine Autarchs. Millenia later, during the age of the Terran Federation and the Galaxy Union, the USS Venture found the still recovering Minerite race and, unaware of their history with Earth, brought them into the Union.
