now this is one game that desperately needs a next gen sequal. Right up there with Rocket Knight Adventures.

Rocket Knight had a sequel, Sparkster, for the Snes and Genesis.
Original was better though.

nah I mean a next gen sequal. Art style and gameplay I prefered Sparkster...but for sheer enjoyment factor, Rocket Knight Adventures had it all the way.

Heh, I remember getting all the way to the final boss and running out of lives...
I didn't really like Sparkster cause the jetpack became too necessary, instead of just an occasional thing. The auto-charge got annoying too - .-

I found the jet pack to be improved in some ways for the sequal. You say "Too neccessary" but surely that's the point?

Maybe it was just me. I felt I was bouncing off things way too often.
I liked it when it was mostly jumping...
But then I played a lot of mario back then too, so that may influence it.
