Josalin is the shared name of the three chimera sisters, who have to share one body. Joanne's head is on the top of her body, like pretty much any other creature. Sandra's head has grown on her upper back, and Lindsey's head is at the end of her tail. Although the three sisters are often referred as a single entity, they each have their own personality. However, they have to work together to get around in this shared body, and they do need each other to survive. Therefore, it's quite vague to say whether they're one or three people. Even Josalin herself finds it hard to tell.
Chimeras are a rare sight in her world. They usually need some inter-species fertility magic in order to be born, usually involving some magic blood dragon heritage. In Josalin's case, her parents opted for some Himalayan Dragon's blood for this fertility spell. With the parents being different species (vixen mother and stag father) and the small bit of magical dragon blood, it triggered the chimera mutation. Most chimeras would die of complications in the womb, but she survived and was born as a healthy chimera cub. Her parents were shocked at first when she was born, but afterwards they raised her with all the love in their hearts they could give. She was something special, someone precious they wouldn't want to trade for the world.
Each of the three sisters have exclusive control over their head and neck, and dominant control over a part of their body. Although each sister has dominance over a part of their body, to a limited degree they're able to control all limbs if their sister lets them. But most of the time, they only control their dominant parts, and intuitively coordinate each other's movements. Joanne controls the chest and arms, and thus also controls the breathing for both her and Sandra. Sandra controls their back and legs. Lindsey is in full control of the tail and has her own lungs. The sisters all share one heart and one digestive system. Although she's omnivorous, each head has their own diet depending what they are able to chew. All heads can talk, although Sandra can only talk properly if Joanne lets her control their breathing.
Joanne often takes the leadership role as the "main head" and speaks on behalf of her sisters. She has by far the best social skills of her sisters and loves to go out with friends. She doesn't have that many friends, and making new friends is hard for her; the only thing she is insecure about is to ask boys out on a date. She is afraid they'll reject her for being a chimera, and on dating sites on the internet she tries to hide the fact she is a chimera until the last moment. This often doesn't end well, being rejected soon after the revelation. Sometimes she takes her leadership role too far, and drags in her sisters into situations they didn’t agree upon. Her stubbornness makes it even harder for her sisters to change her mind.
Sandra is the smartest of the three sisters, and when it came to schoolwork, she pulled the trio through their education, especially tests. However, she’s also the one most plagued by a minority complex, mostly related to where her head is positioned on their body; her neck has grown halfway down Joanne’s back, and this often puts her head in an awkward position. It’s hard for her to see what’s right in front of her, as her sister’s head is in the way and she often has to put her head next to her sister’s to get a clear view. In their youth, she was often called a “lump”, “big pimple” or even “tumor” by other school kids, which hurt her deeply, a pain still affecting her to this day. She doesn’t like being ignored by people, something that often happens, but paradoxically, she also doesn’t want to draw attention. Although she’s a creative soul, wanting to write fiction and music, most of the time she lacks control of the hands to express her creativity. She has to make deals with Joanne to use her hands for these activities during time slots they agreed upon. In return, Sandra gives Joanne full control over the legs when she wants to go out with friends. When Joanne goes out with friends, she’s thankful that she can listen to audio books, in which she can totally immerse herself.
Lindsey is a little bundle of happiness. She’s playful and tries to make most of it with the part of the body that’s totally hers, even though she’s just a head at the end of a long tail. She likes to play games and often joins Joanne in socialising with her friends. Without many responsibilities, she leads a carefree life, but her biggest frustration is that she has no control over where she is; she has to go where her sisters go, having no agency over the legs, and having no hands sometimes feels limiting to her. This is especially frustrating when she’s in a position where she has nothing to do, and she’s bored easily. This had become a problem at school when her sisters had to take tests.
Josalin does share one passion: music. They like to sing together in harmonies, and Sandra is an aspiring singer-songwriter. Joanne can play guitar and often helps Sandra with writing music to be played along with the lyrics. She hopes to be discovered one day, though she’s afraid that the music world will reject her for being a chimera. If the opportunity does come, she hopes she can finally quit her dead-end help desk call-center job.

Another new character with a tricky anatomy. I wanted a chimera character with a different set of animals. I also deliberately chose to not to give her extra hair (it's a classic furry cliché to give female furries long hair).
I gave her a more "cohesive" creature appearance by using one colour scheme for her entirely. Most chimeras look like they're patchwork with clear distinctive parts, so for Josalin, I tried to make all her parts fuse into one another in such a way that there's no way to tell where one part begins and where one ends. This also fits her character as well, as it's also unclear for her to pinpoint where the "individual" exactly begins.
I have some ideas for a story about about her chasing her dreams in the music business. I hope I can write up a story soon!

Of course they do! They may have the occasional sibling fight, but in the end they can't imagine a life without each other. They have more problems with how the world treats them for what they are and sometimes they only have each other for comfort. Fortunately, she's slowly building a network of friends she can trust and share her troubles with.
