Honestly, the main character being on the football team is a decision I made based on something other than my ability to write sports. Because I know nothing about playing football. XD I know what games look like, at least. Which is why doing this story as a comic will be a benefit. Maybe I can't write a football game in a literary form, but I could sure draw a game if I tried.

Was fascinated to see how much less protection there is on a 1950s football uniform when I looked up reference images; Aside from the chin guard the face is entirely exposed. None of that metal stuff you see on helmets today. Even on the professional level (which came up despite the fact I was looking for high school uniforms).

No, he does not have hands... I didn't draw them because they would've covered part of the uniform and the uniform was the entire point of the drawing.
