(SPOILERS OF HALO REACH, DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW THAT YOU'RE NOT MASTERCHIEF OOPS)
Before I get started, yes. This game is incredible. I loved all gameplay and all the events that transpired. HOWEVER. This. Is not. How you end HALO. To leave a cliffhanger with the Legendary Planet, to recover so wonderfully from the ODST cash-in, and then say "THAT'S ALL FOLKS!". That is UTTER. BULLSHIT.
*Sigh* I'm takings courses in Game Design. I understand that sometimes you're sick of seeing a franchise or a concept and want to move onto something else. I do however realize there's an obligation to fans. IF this was there attempt at putting fans to rest then it's the wrong way. Halo Reach should of never been then. Halo 4 should of been the way to end the series, with the Legendary Planet seen at the end of Halo 3.

I played Lone Wolf and I personally felt it to be a perfect ending to my character. HOWEVER. That's not what pissed me off, it's their message in essence stating "Sorry we're bored of our game, yeah I know we left a couple plots wayyyy open, but really they're not important. But hey at least you have something to look forward to in whatever we decide to work on eventually!"
im more pissed that they completely trampled the cannon >> there was already a story about reach (which was super awesome, particularly for a video game book) and Bungie was like 'Nope not interested. even though now reach doesn't quite match up with where we said it ended before'
Stopped reading at "ODST cash-in,"
The ending of Halo 3 was shitty, just like the entire game. I don't really care what that planet is, it's probably forced and contrived just like the narative of Halo 3.
The ending of Reach, however, ended right where the first game began, which is great for a PREQUEL.

probably end with something along the lines of Marathon
Halo Reach occurred directly BEFORE Halo: Combat Evolved. Perhaps you should play that
If you want to complain about anything, consider the fact that the Battle of Reach in Halo: The Fall of Reach took place in under 24 hours. Furthermore, the Pillar of Autumn was never ground-side

I've played Halo 1-3, I know the story line and some of the issues unaddressed by even the books. Ohhhh like the fact that there's about 7 other Spartans still left after the fall of reach. Like I said. I'm not bitching about Reach. I'm bitching about bungie not finishing what they started with Halo4, and instead leaving it to microsoft's personal team of game developers. that's the equivalent of Activision taking over BlazBlue; horrible, horrible things would happen.
Take a chill pill please, Sure there Bungie is not working on Halo Anymore, 343 industries (The people behind Halo Waypoint) Has control of it now, but I'm kind of worried they might mess up. O_O
God I'm paranoid, I haven't even read the book the game is based on, but it felt like a good way to go out, at least to me.
To be Honest I think that planet that was in Halo 3's legendary ending, was Reach.

It isn't reach actually, the current theory is that it's a forerunner planet. In the storyline, after Halo 1 Masterchief returned to Reach to get a ship (or something along those lines) so he could return to central command. As for...343...*shudder* I despised halo wars.
