I will fly forever and ever to see how far the horizon goes.
I didn't intend for this to turn into a stand-alone artpiece when I started. It's a wide panel from another comic I'd started working on, but the comic wasn't flowing as well as I liked and I liked this panel a lot, so I decided to fully render it and do all the scales and nice lighting and make it a stand-alone piece.
I really wanted to draw a picture showing my dragon wing muscles from the front, as I put a lot of thought and effort into making a nice, well-attached wing that looked supportive of the torso. All the muscles are planned out. My arm shoulders are subtle, but at the bottom behind my frill you can see them. My arms and legs are facing backwards against my body (you can't see them here) so they don't interfere with aerodynamics.
I'm really, really happy with this flight pose and, generally, how flight-capable this pose looks.

Thanks, Takaani! I tried to go for a very confident expression here, as I have a habit of trying to fly out over the Ocean as far as I possibly can go and wanted to show it. I wanted to show a sense of adventure, travel, and daringness. I'm glad it went through in the piece well!
