I've made a new batch of reference sheet bases, available for easy download on my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/Mitsene
Includes such updates as:
Caracal (female)
Cow (female)
Highland bull (male)
Orca (both male and female)
Deer (female)
Red panda (female)
And this time including winged species: Bat, Dragon, and Griffin (currently only male, working on female)
In addition to the cat, dog, wolf, husky and bobcat already in the shop! A great option if you can't really afford a full custom ref sheet right now. They come in PNG and JPG format, so you don't need photoshop to edit, though I do recommend something like Affinity designer to get better results.
Here's an easy trick too:
Once downloaded, open and select the magic wand tool
Click all of the negative space - all of the area *outside* of the character lines
Create a new layer and set to multiply
Invert selection (ctrl+shift+i or at the top, select>invert selection)
Choose a color - anything besides 100% white or black works
Use the bucket tool to flood fill the area
Lock transparency on the right Layers panel
Ta da! Now you have a solid area to color, you can't paint over the lines, and with the transparency locked, you won't color outside of the coloring area. Yay!
Also let me know if you have any suggestions for species!
