Sarari, the Dune's Edge. A thief, a giver, a warrior and a seductress, she is known across the desert lands for her beauty as well as her cunning. A female yellow mongoose, she has seen much of the world, and never stays in one place long, as trouble seems to follow in her wake. Still, she does rather enjoy the ruckus she causes, don't you think?

Yes, I know my gallery has a severe shortage of female characters. Well, that's because for me, they are very hard to draw. But, that isn't to say that I don't have female characters. Sarari, here, has popped up many times in my sckethbooks over the years, and I finally got to get her down in a pose I liked. This is my first ever fully-digital inking in Photoshop, and the first time I've used a displacement map.

Hey looks like you added some textured pattern to her scarf/bandana and I love the way you displayed the background, displacement map I guess is the correct term. As I've told you before, very cool and the green works very well with her it seems.
Any specific meaning to what's written on the blade of her sword (even though I can't even detirmin if it's acutaly writing)?
