Fionne is a ratfolk native from the Waste beyond the mountains, one of the most inhospitable regions of the New World. The people of her tribe are nomadic hunter-herders who are renowned for their falconry expertise and marksmanship skills.
Apart from the tense relationship they have with the gnoll tribes contesting their hunting territory and going after their ovine cattle, they barter the products of the hunt and shearing with their leonin neighbors and the settlers of the New World. Indeed, the ever-so-resourceful ratfolks were quick at picking up firearms from the latter and adapting them to their own needs by elongating rifle barrels to create the dreadsome “jezzails”.
Nowadays, Fionne hangs around the vicinity of Melius Cras where she makes a living from the bounty huntress profession. A recalcitrant outlaw pilfering crops is running amok? Does a caravan require protection? Fionne will gladly take care of it if the coins are good and, whilst she is not keen on divulging the details of her past, the affable ratfolk lady will gladly boast about her achievements while sipping a pint of ale in good company at the saloon.
After all, this tall bombshell is both an irrecuperable daredevil and a consummate sharpshooter who is never seen without Pip, her trustworthy bald eagle, and Lauraine, her jezzail sniper that she wields with skill and flair.
Despite having a coquettish and licentious side, Fionne remains a self-disciplined deadeye with an olympian patience allowing her to remain still for hours unend to get the perfect gunshot.
A headhuntress crack shot like her lives for the thrill of dangerous bounties; the fiercer the assignment is, the more enjoyment she draws from the moment where she pulls on the trigger for the kill. It is an art that she perfected all her life, and she who paints the prairies red is as dangerous as she is tempting, albeit her competitiveness and ego can sometimes put a dent on her self-interested endeavors.
