Princess has a big day today, dealing with a human body! She even gets to visit the town of Hammerfell, and this time even gets to speak! Not that she does a lot, it's still pretty awkward for her. Whole lotta awkwardness to go around, really. And there's also a bit of a bombshell dropped to surprise both her and Owner! But not before she gets to revert back to her proper form, which is thankfully less painful than the first time she went from human to dragon.
This chapter is a little lighter than the last, both in tone and in size. It comes in at 5737 words (most of 9 pages), which actually makes it the smallest chapter yet, juuuust barely smaller than Part 2. I decided to break it off here because it was a heck of a couple of days as it was for poor Princess. (I'm sure it's no surprise, but her dysphoria at being in the wrong body is based heavily on my own experiences, so this was kind of both tough and cathartic to write.) Besides, if I started the next segment, it'd end up difficult to find another breaking point before this one ended up another gigantic chapter like part 3. I'm trying to aim to keep these from getting too huge, after all, trying to stick to a soft limit of ten pages. I know it's a lot to ask someone to take the time to read, so I want to at least try to keep it in manageable pieces.

I appreciate the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed so far. ^_^ I still have a number of ideas for future story points, so I've probably got a number of chapters to go before I really start losing steam. I'll probably be starting part 5 tonight, and they seem to take me a couple days' worth of sessions, depending on a number of factors, but I haven't kept track too much.
The writing is of a very above-average standard. Subjectively, I'm just about overwhelmed. This could have been written for me, with its focus on being a pet, and the narrator's emotional insecurity and neuroticism. One of the best stories I've read on here.
I'm kind of trying to prolong my reading, so that I don't run past the end and have to wait for more.

Currently, I've been doing a chapter roughly every 2-3 days, but I have no idea how long that flow is going to continue. I'm glad you're enjoying it, thank you for the favs.
Princess... has a lot of anxiety about a lot of things. ^_^;; I mean, her life has been a pretty crazy mess! Definitely not going the way she thought it would. (Most of the chapters have a "joke" tag, 3's was "Neurotic_girl_worries_about_everything_poor_thing"...)
