Though this is a fanverse/fan-continuity and I write Megatron to be the worst of the worst, TFP Megs even have some issues with this guy haha!

I don't know why, but TFP Megs having an issue with anyone is hard for me to imagine lol XD
Though in terms of official cannon Megatron incarnations, I will say he gets narrowly beaten out for worst monster by one of the IDW versions.
Also in fairness I'm not the biggest Megatron fan, and the only one I'm familiar with that I can't actually see invading a planet because of their social media is G1 Megs. Maybe Animated Megs too, but I haven't watched much of that series so that's just a guess.

I am not much of a Megs fan either and especially dislike the idea of 'redeeming' him, I mean he is THE bad guy of the franchise, even if characters like Unicron exist Megatron is still THE baddie.

So this Megatron that I write is absolutely trash haha, he has so many bad traits and would fight/get into trouble with all cannon Megatrons haha.

G1 Megs technically has invaded a planet, it was just off-screen, though I havn't watched that particular episode in ages so I might be remembering wrong... I just know there was a Decepticon computer controlling the planet so they'd essentially invaded it and took over.

There's a reason I've completely abandoned both IDW comics and most transformers fan sites, and it's the treatment of Megatron compared to Starscream. IDW treats Starscream like he's the villain of the series and completely irredeemable even though G1 implies and a later game made canon that he and the other two jets started as autobots and they didn't exactly have a choice. As for fans, it's just that I can't handle how many of them either ship him with Megatron, or worse. Starscream is my favorite and always has been so that kind of thing gets to me after a while.

Same, but with Galvatron, when the comics started 'redeeming' Megatron Galvs character seemed to fly out the window and he was just "angry guy" that was the 'villain' for people to defeat and have their character arcs bounce off of (good god I mean you'd think having a sibling in Arcee would've done something with his character but no it was all about her, poor arcee having them as a sibling, poor her etc etc.).

The only 'MegaStar' I support is the one in RiD 2001. Because Megastar is the name of the 'con base hahahaha!
But yeah, seriously, I ship Starscream with anyone who ISN'T Megatron, Star (no one really) does not deserve to be 'shipped' with the mech that outright abuses them. Granted they must've had an 'okay' relationship at some point for Starscream to even be SIC but that time is looong gone and it's just not healthy anymore.

Gosh, I even have a sad little section of my fan-continuity where ghost-Starscream admits he's happy Galvatron killed him in the movie, because it was better than being left alive to continue suffering.

Oh I remember that episode, couldn't remember the name but YUP, it was the one where Megatron had a rather.... phallic looking thing come out of his head when he reprogrammed said computer that sent me into fits of laughter when I once showed it to someone.

Totally understand about Galvatron, I just can't stand the way a lot of the characters get thrown under the bus for absolutely zero reason in IDW continuity. For me another one that really hurts is Prowl, I loved him too and the way he's treated is just so far over the line.

As for Starscream, I don't actually think he's the SiC anyway anymore, I think that's Soundwave. I got so sick of the way every single character in official canon, including Optimus and Windblade, treat him that for my fic I finally just said screw it and made up a character from scratch to ship him him with. I mean, I could hardly do any worse than IDW right? @_@

I keep thinking the computer is called Torq or something in that episode, makes a brief cameo in TFA too. But LAWD that head-dong, I want to shake the hand of whoever allowed that in because it was hilarious.

Galvatron so often gets thrown under the bus in shows and by fans which hurts. He's canonically suffering with mental health issues in G1 but people are just "Lol he crazeeee insane-ooo luh-mao" about him and ignore the fact he actually shows more concern about his men than Megatron did and just act like his outbursts are his entire personality and he's just cruel.
Can't say Prowl has ever been high on my favourites but eugh it always sucks to see/know someones fave gets fucked over so much.

Yeah, his role does seem to have been a bit... muted.
And another thing slightly relating to the previous paragraph but I noticed that Megs abusive nature towards Starscream often gets made 'light' of, whereas it isn't with Galvs. As if it's all fine for Megs to act like that but if someone has a mental breakdown and attacks an ally? EVUL! There was an episode where the Autobots just laughed when they pondered what Megatron was going to do to Starscream after his latest betrayal. Yeah, lovely, I get you're enemies an all but I still wouldn't be laughing and riding into the sunset thinking about how much they're gonna get beaten...
And honestly, you can't do worse than IDW lol.

IDK if you've watched it, but try watching BWII/Beast Wars 2. It features an adorable pink softie Galvatron aaaand Starscream! And Starscream is so fun! Also never gets beaten up by his boss! He's such a happy Starscream! He dances about in one episode! BWII Star is honestly my favourite version of him just 'cos he was so fun and it was nice to see him be a character and not get held back by a Megatron beating him up all the time.
