The lion sat illuminated by the stained glass behind him, one paw resting on his chin while he read, tapping every once in a while- oblivious to you staring at him.
You can see he's very invested in the book, not even the waiters walking by seem to bother him as he doesn't look up to talk to any of them, caught in the pages of the novel.
One of his ears flick as somebody says the name 'Octavious'. He moves his arm to the back of the chair, looking up for the interloper who said his name, his eyes scanning the crowd while his other paw keeps the book held in his lap, balancing on the edge of the armrest.
He looks almost serene in this moment, you can't help but to pull out your phone and snap a picture of the stranger, just before he shrugs, not finding whoever said his name- Picking up where he left off on the page.
