Beau:
—Represents Junior’s sense of Self-Acceptance. Beau was unaware of this at first and thought he represented something simpler, such as Calmness.
—He manifested after a particularly nasty verbal attack by Mason, where he claimed that Junior wasn’t ‘real’ and that if he took off the clown makeup, he would see that he was just Mason underneath it all. It was desperate gambit by Mason to prove that he was the ‘true’ persona. However, when Junior removed his clown makeup, something strange happened. A new persona emerged who wasn’t Junior or Mason. He instinctually named himself Beau, unconsciously basing it off of his mostly forgotten first name.
—Beau wears diapers because he finds them comfy and they make him feel protected and secure.
—Strengths:
—He is a kind soul who will do his best to understand others and offer them comfort when he can
—He will work tirelessly to help those who he cares about
—He has a fairly logical approach to problems, but is willing to admit when he needs help or insight from others
—Weaknesses:
—A fear that Beau has is that he is not exactly sure how he fits in with the other personas. While he claims to be the ‘calm’ persona, he somehow feels that label doesn’t quite suit him.
—Beau also fears that he doesn’t have much of a personality of his own, as he finds himself being very easily guided by the other personas from the mindspace whenever he is in control of the body.
—Beau also seems to have the feeling he has forgotten something very important. This feeling constantly haunts him and although he doesn’t want to worry Pop-Pop, Mamie, or even the other personas, he is desperate to discover the reason for this feeling.

—Beau is secretly the true, original personality of Mason before he experienced the great heartbreak of losing his surrogate grandparents as a child. Junior was unknowingly created as a way for Mason to deal with this deeply buried trauma. Once Beau finally learns to love himself, Junior and Mason will merge into him and he will become the true persona of their body once more.

(The following is no longer canon, but I thought I would share it anyway 😅).
—Relationship to the other personas within the ‘mindscape’:
—Smarty Pants: Beau genuinely admires Smarty Pants intellect, so much so in fact, that he often leaves Smarty Pants to his own devices, since he feels there isn’t much he can do to help another persona is so much more competent than himself.
—Spike: Beau is in awe of Spike’s sense of freedom in being able to do whatever he feels like. He wishes he could trust his own instincts the way that Spike does. He also loves listening to Spike sing whenever the latter isn’t aware he is present.
—Mason: Beau is aware of Mason’s contentious relationship with the other personas. Whenever Beau is in control of their body, he can feel Mason struggling within the mindspace, fighting the others personas so that he can square off against Beau himself. Because of this Beau does his best to avoid Mason in the mindspace, but on some level, he wonders if there is anything he can do to help him.
—Junior: Beau always enjoys Junior’s silly antics. Junior always finds a way to make him smile and out of all of the other personas, he tends to follow Junior’s advice the most. This however, has lead to a slight fear within Beau, where he subtly wonders deep down if he truly has any real opinions of his own, or if he is completely reliant upon input from others.
—Baby J: Beau loves watching Baby J play and simply being a big baby. When he and Baby J are hanging around in the mindspace, he will act as a ‘big brother’ rather than a caretaker to Baby J. He often secretly wishes to just take off his shortfalls and crawl around in his own diaper with Baby J, but he’s too modest to do so.
