Whoops I drew Cringe Wars, time to sanitize my tablet.
I'm kidding, I've mostly grown out of Star Wars but I have a soft spot for the space-aspect with all the dogfighting and ship designs, and junk. Pretty proud of this one actually! Them clothing ripples though. I drew my sona Amanacer as my custom pilot since I got back into Squadrons recently and got to play it with some friends since it's currently having a free weekend.

Hey thanks! A man of culture I see, I loved the Z-95 too. Very aesthetic and was featured a lot on the old EU.
I'm not into it like I used to be but Star Wars's space stuff is still a major guilty pleasure for me lol.

I also really enjoyed those ancient X-Wing/Tie Fighter games, and X-Wing Alliance was my favorite.
XWA really makes you feel like a ragtag resistance pilot taking on impossible odds and wrapped up neatly with the Battle of Endor.
This is next level dork but I've been checking out the X-Wing series, finished the first book a while ago and was going to read the next when I find time. They're pretty decent actually, more or less Top Gun but in space.

For real! That's a really sick way to put it, I love it. That's what made it all so charming was the rough & tumbleness of how it looked slapped together. A lot of old EU ships felt that way too, I liked Kyle Katarn's ship the Moldy Crow now that thing is a rust bucket lol. I saw it on a miniature at a Barns & Nobles for that board game and I regret not buying it even though I don't play it.
Tbh I feel that's how Star Wars has lost some of it's charm since the 70's influence has faded recently. I appreciate Rebels though since that feels like it's last hurrah of that old school feel.
They're really cool! XW/TF really show their age but if you enjoyed Squadron's short story and you wanted a nice lengthy campaign with an actually pretty cool story with those grungy 90's CGI cutscenes set between Empire and Jedi I recommend X-Wing Alliance. That game WILL make you feel like a pilot lol.
Oh wow small world! After I finished the first book I also had to read a synopsis of what actually was going on lmao but I legit love the character interactions they're so good. How are you liking the third so far? :O
