You can hate it if you want, but the fact remains, Dragonball is a part of our culture. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't know Goku, and even harder pressed to find someone who doesn't know what Dragonball is.
Anyways, this was spawned by my recent addiction to Dragon Quest IX, which if you are not aware, features designs by Akira Toriyama. Needless to say, I've been on a Toriyama kick lately.

Aww, suppose it's not for everyone. I love satire and honestly? Couldn't ever take DBZ seriously. I might if I see the new trimmed version but I always felt the 'Mericanized version did a pretty good job of ensuring it was nearly impossible to be seen as any kind of serious anime.
