OH MY GAWWWWWWWWWD
crave-the-bullet always knows how to take something I hate and make me love it
If Scott Pilgrim had been like this (ie. a two hour long fan film about me) then I would have really liked it,
I love that forced perspective!

I thought everyone liked this movie, but you're right. It had a budget of $60M, but has only made $30M.

So far, only he and
MoodyFerret have been the only ones I've encountered to see Scott Pilgrim and not enjoy it.

I don't really doubt either was untrue, though I do suspect Agouti sometimes feels beholden to dislike things... though I generally agree with him. I didn't on this, but usually we're haters together.
The comment was meant to be flippant. Movies don't have an inherent good or bad quality that should show through for everyone. The greatest pieces of art ever made are often hated by smart people for legitimate reasons. No matter how few people disliked the film it doesn't make anyone wrong to dislike it.

Nobody saw it, but everybody that did (i.e. nobody) loved it. There's been a whole bunch of passionate screeds by critics about how it's a film about geeks, by geeks, for geeks, and they (the critics) are not the target audience and probably not even supposed to like it, but they love it anyway.
Responses seem to be divided into three groups, "OMFG AWESOME", "I'm not a geek so I don't get it", and "I'm not a geek but OMFG AWESOME".
Happily, it seems to be doing better in most of Europe, and is only just out in some places. If it's not breaking even by the end of the theater run and $30M into profit one month into DVD sales and rentals, I'll be shocked.
