Here we are on the Port Side of AF1 in queue with other excited visitors where we explored the interior spaces of the "Flying White House." Everything on display is in an "Arrested" state of Technology from when the aircraft was last used in 2001. I myself was impressed with the immensity of scale, and the clever way the entire Aircraft was placed in a huge "Glass Box" which also added the illusion the 707 was in flight, or at least was waiting to take off.

Compared to the "Usual" Jet Liner, Air Force One is almost "Luxurious" inside. The seats, passenger common areas and such are far more open, but while flying inside Air Force One Passengers despite their status are constantly reminded that they are on board an AIRCRAFT and not inside a submarine or private yacht.
Of course, the interior decor will not let one quite Never forget who this aircraft is employed by. Almost every seat was done up in well-appointed leather.

All those times as a child I flew across the Atlantic in the Boeing 707. An era when flying was a luxury, and you dressed in a coat and tie to fly.
What a difference to the "air busses" that planes have become.
But I digress: What an interesting experience to be able to see the inside of this particular aircraft, even more interesting to learn it was used as recently as 2001. I figured the 747 would have been used more exclusively earlier than that.
