I honestly would rather see them abandoned at a firehouse than kept in a home where they possibly wont be properly cared for.

If anything, the owners did the right thing.

The 'right thing' would have been to find homes for them, not just abandoning them and leaving them to fend for themselves at that age :/

We don't particularly know the situation well enough. Perhaps they don't know anyone who could care for the kittens? Perhaps it was an emergency? Maybe it wasn't even their cat, but a local stray?
There's a lot of factors that we frankly don't know, so I wont judge someone when I don't even know their side of the story.

Both kittens who were taken this morning are relatives of members in the department, who I know personally. They'll be in a good home, don't worry. :)

Three kittens are left. IDK about you but I'm glad they're going to good homes :) and not living on the streets somewhere.

Hey guys. Just wanted to let you know that all the kittens and the momma cat were adopted and taken to their new homes as of 2 weeks ago. I'd have posted this sooner but I've had no time to get on line.

The original owner was an elderly woman who was no longer financially stable enough to take care of them, so she dropped them off here.

The chief of department got a card in the mail from one of the new owners who wrote this message:

"Thank you for taking such good care of us!
We appreciated the hospitality!
We love our new house!

Love, Momma Cat and the Kittens."

At the bottom they drew three little paw prints.

I thought it was the most adorable thing ever. :3

Awww, I was about to ask about them! I'm glad they're in good homes now <3
