My Glex'ian species made for IZ, are very focused on tribe structure and uses it to determine who is civilized or not.
Viden here is of the tribe focused on science and exploration of new knowledge. Typically the ones to accept any free ride off planet offered by visitors, to explore what the universe has to offer.
As member of a civilized tribe, she is much more control of her basic instincts that screams anything not a Glex'ian is prey to be hunted and eaten. She can treat you civilized like a person and not think of you as her next meal, as a sign of great respect.
Just a curious scientist happy to expand upon what she knows and can learn.
