That's why he's got his gun in his left hand. Yes, he has aged, and you know why? Because your teens aren't your prime years. It's in your mid 20s that you're in your prime, so Shadow really did have some growing yet to do.

I believe that Shadow was awakened around the physical age of 15, which means stepping out of an incubation tube and straight into puberty. GUN's original intention was that through 2-4 years of highly focused military training, he'd be trained not just in combat, but also to think exactly as they wanted him to. Maria put some grit in those plans when she helped Shadow escape.

For the record, Shadow works for GUN for the sole purpose of keeping an eye on them, to make sure the GUN of today doesn't turn back into the corrupt GUN of yesteryear that shoots scientists and little girls.

What's these tubes with glowing green fluid in them? When was the last time we saw glowing green fluid in tubes, eh? Could the Doctor have something evil planned? When doesn't he?
