Wanda and Oda are LONG time friends, over 20 years strong at this point. They met under the shooting of Star Fox back in the late 90's, Oda was cast as a body double for the newly introduced heroine and Wanda was reprising her role for yet another season. The two bonded quickly as the two tough gals on set and have kept in touch ever since things wrapped up. Oda never imagined Wanda would actually take on space flight for real as she was just an actor prior, but neither did Wanda imagine a string bean mechanic would beef up and rise to the top as the top dog of the whole space program. It is no secret that Oda herself orchestra'd her best friend in the world to be on the same team as her son, keeping them both in one place makes it easier for her to keep up with the people she care about! Also I'm pretty sure this flex greeting shattered windows with it's sheer power
