I've come to learn that my process for art is a bit weird and I'm trying to embrace that as much as I can. The key thing to remember here is that each tier of rendering naturally leads into the next, and pricing reflects the overal amount of time a commissioner would want me to invest in bringing something to completion. You could get a fully shaded and roughly lined pic for 40$, but paying more would give me the time I need to add a more dynamic pose, increase the viewpoint size, sharpen details, and etc.

Each picture I make will come with examples at each stage of paid for completion: from roughs, to refined, polished, and ultimately specialty tiers (if desired). A quick breakdown below:

Roughs Tier - 40-60$
This level of rendering is ideal for people looking for a quick turnaround on a quick concept or character. I will spend up to a week working on these (including back and forth and revisions with good communication on the commissioner's part), and will be able to adapt and flex the concept to suit the areas a commissioner would want me to focus more on. Final resolution will be around 2000px.

Refined Tier - 80-110$
This level of rendering is ideal for people looking to take their rough pic to the next level. I will spend up to a 2 weeks working on these (including back and forth and revisions with good communication on the commissioner's part), and will be able to adapt and flex the concept to suit the areas a commissioner would want me to focus more on. This level is characterized by cleaned up lineart, a higher overall resolution, and better lighting. Emphasize can also be placed on bringing out background details more depending on commissioner preferences. 3000-4000px resolution can be expected at this stage

Polished Tier - 120-160$
Similar to the previous tier, we take what has already been done and kick it up another notch. At this level commissioners can expect vectorized lineart, soft shading, fur/material texturing and a thigh up dynamic pose with a basic BG at the minimum. Previously loose details will be polished and sharpened with careful consideration given to scene lighting and atmosphere. This is the tier I'd recommend to those looking for a high quality commission that they have the time to wait for/want to tell a full story with- you will definitely get what you pay for! Minimum resolution at 7000px

Specialty Tier - 180$+
This tier is defined by taking the high definition character rendering of the previous tier and pairing it with an equally high definition background. It is also used for things like character sheets (multiple views/clothing+armor/etc.), highly technical compositions, highly detailed lineless work, and more. Due to the scope of time invested in creating a picture like this, heavy back and forth communication is to be expected. If you're not willing to communicate to that degree, this may not be an option I'd recommend (stick with a polished tier!). On the other hand, if you want someone who loves art to play for a month on a single picture or concept and make some serious magic happen...look no further! Minimum resolution 8000px (and very likely much more)
