A costume/character idea for Halloween. I'll be doing quickie Livestream commissions tonight (7pm pacific) to raise funds for this.
Nohoo doesn't speak, he communicates only in whistles, clicks, and unearthly screeches. He is very tall and mysterious and moves with a ghostly grace.
Any suggestions on execution; resources I should check out to make this costume a reality would be most welcome. If you know of good places in Los Angeles to look for those resources, even better.

Don't know if you were intending to make the owl mask portion yourself, but if not MissMonster has a fabulous one she sells: http://missmonster.bigcartel.com/pr.....e-eyes-painted
Looks like a great idea for a costume, hope to see images of it when done.

Doing something that tall from a headband alone will be kinda difficult given the combined weight of the fabric and mask. It's not gonna be TOO heavy, but it's gonna be hard for a headband to support it. You might want to consider picking up a cheap bike helmet that you can strap to your head, and do your mounting on that. Once you have the solid base, you can build it up with wire, or just bolt something together. Hell, you might even be able to find one of those old spring-arm bendy-lamps at your local thrift store, and mount that to the helmet, and mount your mask and cloth to that.
That's a really cool idea, though. Makes me think of the tall cow-skull things in Time Bandits, which were very creepy.

No, he's just different. No Face was a character drawn from Noh Theater (if someone rebukes that, I'd love to read more about his origins). This one is just picking up on that spookiness and then adding something I find also spooky; owls. Its mythological significance isn't as impressive.
