My coach Sjoerd and I were having a blast today, watching some funny videos on YouTube, and having a tropical moment where we made fun and drew our very own picture. He was drawing a picture of Super Mario, and I was working on this one. If you know me, you'll probably know that I have a soft spot for anything tropical or summer vacation-related, and that I'm willing to make that clear with some pretty detailed hand-drawn pictures, made using just pencils on a small piece of paper.

-- A tropical beach at sunset, with the reflection of the clouds seen in the water, hence why the water surface has a bright yellow look. Some palm trees are scattered about this place. The point of view immediately makes clear what's near you and what's farther away. There's one palm tree in the distance that's neither standing upright nor hanging down facing the water -- it makes for a confusing sight at first; you could mistake it for a giant hand that is trying to grab the yellow watchtower that's on the island on the other side of the bay. But you could also imagine a strong wind blowing through the area, which makes the farthest palm tree topple over in the direction of the watchtower on the adjacent island. There's a clear difference in height when it comes to the part hidden behind the palm tree all the way up front -- a bit to the right, the open shore becomes more clear, and it makes for a terrific viewpoint for visitors of this paradise. Finally, even though it is kind of difficult to tell apart from the sand, there is a portion of grass which obscures the view of the rolling waves a little, but this only applies to the part in the middle, not very far from the palm tree.
