Oh you arrogant huntsman
With your gun and your bow
Head out to the woods with all your gumption
And take for profit, food, or show
You take with no regard
To who or what it may be
Big, small, young, old
It's free reign as far as you see
Oh you greedy huntsman
Taking more than you need
You shall be punished
This I decree
Bone antler of elk
A worthy prize in your eyes
Oh insignificant little whelp
Taking it is not wise
I lay a curse upon the ivory bone
One of beastly form
When the full moon's face is shown
You will twist, scream, and deform
A Beast of the Forest, of the Moon
You cannot ignore its call
You will sleep soon
And another will go and maul
Oh you selfish huntsman
Thinking yourself above them all
Now you have become
A beast like many you made fall
A bounty will be laid on your head
For protection, for safety
Oh you arrogant huntsman
The hunter has become the hunted
A remake of an older piece (which I shall not link here because cringe) where the idea was to make a werebeast, have the other half not be wolf, and make it an effective monster. I admit to copy-pasting the poem from the old work, but hey, it works well enough.
I wouldn't have done this if I didn't see this by
petplayer976 and get inspired to go back and fix up a 3 year old drawing. I'm glad for it, since I now like where it is.
I won't be surprised if I see an whole bunch of errors in the next 24 hours. That tends to happen with these things
