I'm hoping to do more of these for Ara, I went to illustrate her and was actually having a bit of trouble with her headshape. I decided it was best to take some time and really learn my own character. This was a lot of fun! Especially playing around with all the mouth shapes and how her little mouth tentacles can emote too. The next area I need to spend some time on is her tail, how it attaches to her, it's a big tail and I think the little sketches up there work well but I want to visit it a bit more. Her shell is another thing, it's slightly conical and off center, which you can kinda tell in the rendered marker image of her but might not pick up on right away/assume it was a stylized choice.
