So! For one of my classes right now I am doing illustrations from the book I am writing. This particular scene is near the beginning where the leader of a small Marine squad is scouting a settlement on a desert world. The technology of this world, and many others like it, does not look or feel much like "futuristic" technology because humanity had a slight... setback... at a certain point before this scene.
