Looking for some dialogue about Vore
Looking for some open dialogue about Vore. Love it or hate it. Just be civil, and SFW about it. If the demand is needed for a NSFW. We'll see what we can do. This may just be a one off thing, and it may be a terrible idea. We'll see.
First off. Yes, the image here is an old post of my oc Mercurium yawning. Yes it has about 10 stupid filters on it, with some absolutely garish text. Didn't really feel like trying to quickly render another one. Sorry not sorry.
Second. I'm just looking for some civil dialogue about this odd fetish. I know we all may not be adults here, so please keep it SFW. Some prompts for the discussion:
1) What about vore do you find appealing?
2) where/what did you first encounter vore?
Third! I'm going to start.
1) From an artistic point of view. I've always enjoyed working on the mouth or maw of a character. There's always so many interesting details and challenges to work with. From textures and subsurface bits, both soft and hard objects, can be dry or drenched in fluids and so many different reflective surfaces. It's kinda a whole package of challenging and enjoyable things to work on.
From a personal point of view. I tend to feel a bit more confused. Most people seem to view vore as an absolute domination/submission act. Don't get me wrong I totally understand why. And while I'd be lying if I didn't find the prospect appealing from time to time myself. I tend to 2 different extremes (in my opinion). One is the trust factor between two (or more) individuals. To be willing to offer a part of one self, or completely to anothers maw, a place were more often than not no living thing escapes. At least unharmed. Knowing full well that the jaws can rend your flesh and bone, or if swallowed whole you may have only a minute or two in some of the most hellish places imaginable. And yet, the one with the power over your choice is choosing to ignore all instincts and is willing to let you keep your life unharmed, or mostly unharmed.
The other extreme is honestly pure fetish based off the uncaring predator. Strictly speaking, not really into hard vore on the personal level. But to be treated like food, consumed and swallowed. Sometimes with many prey things. Also the more details the better. Textures, sights, smells, what something feels like ect. This is the one that confuses me the most. Logically I understand that this is an absolutely terrible action to commit. Literally torturing living creatures to death. I also understand that all living creatures must consume some form of life to survive. But consuming something alive is just a cruelty born of pleasure.... Or maybe laziness? But for some reason these things make my primitive monkey brain sit up and dance in circles.
I guess I should specify, I'm not into same size vore. Don't get me wrong I'm not offended by it or anything. I just don't understand it most of the time. I get that cartoons probably play a pretty big part in it. But it just doesn't interest me. Micro/macro is an interesting concept to fit into this idea. But honestly dragons and other mythical creatures of massive size are just as capable of consuming normal sized creatures.
2) I believe the first time I can remember encountering vore was when I was very young. I'm pretty sure it was Disney's "the brave little tailor" from the 90's (ish). Something just clicked for me. The idea was simultaneously horrifying and fascinating.
Sorry for the extremely long post. But it feels kinda good to let all that out. And think it through a little.
Also if you want to engage in discussion/conversation, but aren't comfortable discussing topics like this publicly you're welcome to DM me. Still keep it civil. You'll get a maximum of two warnings before I have to try and figure out how to black list you.

For me, as i would not describe or seek out vore, or get any reaction by most of whats arround, the is tho a category i like.
I dont know if it has its own term, if so please tell me, but it seems to me that vore splits into 2 streams
A. is the predatory one
And the other one is the //slight NSFWarning
B. is the beeing inside of someone
For me that is only interesting with female sexual organs primarily, but i have a slight draw to the general concept
As for my guess why that is with B.
I am empathic, so the idea of a warm woomb like place seems appealing
Which could be the general psychological drive to the return to the womb, as it is seen in general cultural psychology/sociology
As is observable in the biblical fall /used as analogy
It seems to me to be a deeply rooted psychological drive, which gets triggered by a inital encounter.
For me that encounter was in a chatroom
As for it is not that the idea was not appealing, more that i just had never thaught that direction, and with the encounter it was "realised" (manifested into the psyche)
Thats my guess at least^~^
As for A.
...~...
I would like to propose that is might be a animal archetype, a reflection of the unconcious.
The animal which we are biologically, but diccosiated from by seperating man from nature.
A repressed urge that is most commonly rerouted into social interactions and dominance / power hirarchys
But this is a old and mighty psychological process, if it is used in a psyche that can intract with a more direct way of manifesting it, without breaking, it will do it
Killing is a inherent part of nature, which is in normal culture 100% repressed from action, there is litterature, etc and hunting, but not all ppl hunt, especially in a predatory way, or are beeing hunted, a exception is also the military.
As such it may be repressed and builds up over time in certain individuals with a tendency for that.
The sexual urge is still private, its removed from the eyes of the culture, so its the perfect place to live out that urge
As it is also 1 of the mayor strain, as i call them
Food, sex, sleep, and probably 1 i forgot
I have a theory that sex and food hinge on the same or a similar structure
This is getting long :p you get my point i think:Dd
I am pretty interested in why that size difference affects you in particular, like i have no idea why that differciation should be made/what it hinges on, but is quite plausible to exist, i am curious ^~^
I hope that was somehow helpful *looks down shily*

I really like how you talked through your reflection of your ideas and standing. Personally really enjoy seeing someone come to a conclusion. For me, the end goal isn't usually the fact(s) about a subject. Facts are boring, set in concrete, final (not always I know). But how and why someone reaches a "fact"
The Womb idea makes sense, the want and desire to feel safe and warm or to provide safety and warmth in a cruel and unforgiving world. Like wise I can reason with most empathic people coming to a similar conclusion, maybe not the UB answer but various levels and ideas of wanting or giving safety and warmth. If I were to deep dive into my OC's phycology I might find something like this in there somewhere. I wasn't even really thinking about the divergent aspects of vore when posting this. So thank you for keeping the NSFW descriptions to a minimum.
As the second goes, I believe you're right on the nose with it. I may be wrong about it but I think it's called the Amygdala. A part of the brain in people (and animals?) that not only controls the sexual urges, but hunting and to some extent eating and violence. So I can 100% understand the two emotions getting entangled. Actually under that idea I'm surprised vore actually isn't more common :\
As for the size difference thing on my end. When I try to reflect on it, I think it may come down to my preference of art style? I tend to lean towards more of a realism style. When I see same sized vore, I can't help but feel like the pred should be in just as much pain if not more then the prey, no matter the hole. Granted I know it's also not impossible by a realistic standard. I can't remember the name of it, but there's a deep water fish that can actually eat things up to twice it's size by expanding it's belly in a very cartoonish style. And before I anyone points out the obvious, yes I know vore is strictly a fantasy interest so why should it matter? I'm just saying that's how my mind perceives that kind of thing..... I think
And no reason to be shy. Thank you very much for indulging my curiosity and desire to have a decent discussion about the subject.

Thank you a lot i am flustered that someone appreciates what i spend time on^~^ makes me feel U~w~U
In my view facts are the the peak of probability, which does not negate or lessen the landscape arround it.
A "fact" may be a great possibility for a vantage point to look arround^~^
As to how i come to my conclusions, its a matter of feeling, intuition and trust in myself.
Which you could rephrase in jungian language as,
i invoke my anima to sort information emerging in the unconcious,
like a helping spirit, or ai if you want to use current language,
bc the amounts of data present there will dissolve the ego, the, i am the i am.
And leave you without the observer to bring into language.
I am not terribly concerned with "hard truths",i like well composed ideas, which those often are or beeing "correct" altho its pleasing to see. The journey is the goal.
Also i use language, meaning social systems are readable and writable in my perception.
Nsfw
Its a pleasure^~^ i do my best to be pleasant and mindful <3
Thank you a lot thats really helpful *hugs softly and exited*
Its great to see a trace off biological evidence in the proximity of one of my theorems
As to commonality, its a idea not possible outside of art, so by that you eliminate what i call "main"
You certainly know the term "mainstream", you split it and get "main-stream", as in flow dynamics, the main stream of a river.
Extending that, you get the main-stream of society, without the moral problems of the self refferencial term.
But we can observe the same behaviour in the sub group, so even with limited data and possiblys, there are countless options.
To make a guess, its probably a pareto distribution, as its commonly found all over comolex social structures, from job markets, to voting patterns,
Which gives us no indication to why.
It may be helpful applying occams razor to filter, meaning take the idea and smash it with a hammer and look at the peaces, but it is a starting point.
As to size difference,
It looks to me too like realism is a factor, but to that, and maybe in that i see lurking something,
The idea of fairness, even in such a animalistic, post moral scenario, you like to see piety
https://youtu.be/SmMyfjuzs7c
Maybe a reminder/hope for sanity/prayer to not be a monster/plead to be moral and acceptable
The expression of the moral battle for your soul deep within you
Now i need to see this fish:Dd
*exlaiming in curious brat*
Its a pleasure, neither of us had a obligation, and i regard you with the same gratitude<3
Shyness is the wings that keeps me from falling into the abyss of hubris^~^
I like that sentence, i just came up with that and i am proud *blissful and exited folf noises*

1) I find maws and internals very visually appealing. I see a wide open maw and think “This is the start of a fantastic adventure!” I also like that it feels soft and warm. Basically anything from dangerous adventure to safe and comfortable all appeal to me! The only thing I don’t like is when it gets NSFW, that stuff just doesn’t appeal to me. (Though I hold absolutely no grudges for those who do enjoy it!)
2) My first encounter would probably be The Magic School Bus episode where they show off the digestive system. Also when I was very young. And the game based on that episode where you could explore even more. Of course, I can’t ignore Ocarina of Time and Jabu-Jabu either! From the very beginning, the desire to explore every pred was strong, very strong.

I agree that I find maws and internals visually appealing (even if logically it should all be very vile to look at). I think I saw someone post something about the idea of an adventurous side of vore being labeled Jonah syndrome. I can understand why to some extent. Finding it to be soft and warm is also a very pleasing idea. As long as the owner of the maw doesn't decide to use their teeth. I'll be it, all the face fluid that is often in there might still be a bit of a problem.
As for the the NSFW aspect. I agree with you for the most part. There's definitely a time and place for that, but seeing it everywhere (not just in vore for the conversation), I feel like I've become jaded to it. Like you said, I hold no ill-will for those that want to see it in anything they create or have created. But there are many amazing art pieces, that have NSFW all over the piece, and personally it just feels ....... unnecessary and distracting from other details. That being said NSFW artist tend to have a very high talent for those things. I know it's a bit of hot take, but to each their own.
Also as a side note on the idea while looking up how to spell Amygdala for the comment above, turns out that It's also known for controlling fear to some extent. So it has a part in sexual urges, hunting, and fear. So I'm really starting to think vore might have a link to each of these emotions entwining.
Thank you very much for indulging my curiosity and desire to have a decent discussion about the subject.

I get what you mean about it should logically look vile. I once read that humans are the only animals to show teeth as a smile, usually baring them is a sign of aggression in other animals. I’ve definitely heard the term “Jonah Syndrome” and given how fascinated I was by that story, it feels like an accurate name for myself as well. Back on the warm and comfortable side, as I type this, I’m wrapped up in a warm, plush Gengar tongue ^^
As far as the Amygdala, I definitely got some wires crossed because sexual stuff gives me a fear and repulsion response, while vore… you can easily guess ;P
You’re very welcome, and thank YOU for starting this discussion!

1.Well vore for me is more on the idea of exploration and curiosity for the role of prey and as pred, keeping little friends safe. While as prey digestion does not bother me, as pred I go strictly safe. Kinda stems from me not liking to hurt anyone.
2. My first time is kinda hard but cartoons were my biggest influence. You saw alot of it and as such molded alot of my quirks.
2. My first time is kinda hard but cartoons were my biggest influence. You saw alot of it and as such molded alot of my quirks.
Knowing a bit about you that makes sense. And is a strong indication of empathic traits. You not only want to not hurt anyone, but you also want to protect others. But along the same time you are willing to self-sacrifice your own wellbeing for others. Though I would still advise to take care of yourself.
Forgive me for getting a little more personal, but Omega seems to be a well crafted reflection of those ideas.
I kind figure cartoons will have a big impact on most vore interests. I don't really know much about modern day cartoons, but from what I've seen there are still plenty of vorish moments. Especially the uvula swinging aspect. While I've read stories about some people having to have their uvula surgically shortened because they will sometimes end up biting down on it, Most animals either have really short uvulas or none at all.
Thanks for humoring my last minute brain stimulation.

I divide vore into three categories.
First is the one I find horrible and which can fry my brains quite literally. It's a very narrow slice of vore, and it can be summarised as fox (or any other canid) prey + any pred. I have a very strong passion for foxes, so seeing them being hurt or even just dominated is extremely painful.
Second is the one that I'm neutral to. It's any general vore that doesn't involve foxes at all. I don't get any reaction on it, so it sort of exists in the background.
Third is the one with foxes (and especially vixens) as predators and any other species except for foxes as prey. I kinda enjoy it, and I'm even in progress of porting my comic which has such here. I see it as a biologically correct and fair action, as, again, I have a passion for foxes. I think it's not the idea of vore that is appealing for me here, but rather seeing the foxes in dominating position.
I studied fetishes in general, and as far as I know, they're like software bugs that appear during the development of human psyche in early ages. If something intervenes this development, it can evolve into a fetish. I have several ideas about what can trigger the creation of vore fetish, but I'm not sure if they are correct.
I would also like to point out that plenty of vore situations have very weak motives. Sometimes the predator eats someone without any purpose, just for the sake of satisfying the viewer.
My first encounter of vore? Men in black 2, the beginning of the movie.

Thank you for sharing the interesting perspective! I love the idea of referring to fetishes as software bugs. For some reason that made me laugh more then it should have.
Like I said in my posting, I can't really relate to the domination aspect personally. But I can understand it. My job IRL requires me to be direct, confrontational, and even dominating at times. I don't really like doing it, but it's part of the job.
As for the aversion to seeing foxes on the prey end, or even in harms way. I can completely understand being against anything harmful to a species that you would have such a strong empathy towards. And even cheer them on when their the ones dishing out the pain. From what I understand it's kinda the same response sport fans have about their favorite sports team, might be something worth looking into there.....
I also agree that most vore depictions have very weak motives. But in most cases, while hunger (whether it be sexual or real hunger) is a weak motive. It remains a hell of driving force. I think my second point of the uncaring pred on my posting falls into the weak motive category. While I'm all for high motive depictions, it usually has to take the form of a written story or set of comic panels, because I feels it's got to be a story to get any real high motives.
Men in black in general had many remember-able vore moments, lol.

Thank you for taking the time to indulge my curiosity and desire to have a decent discussion about the subject.
I like to think of brain as of a very complex computer. I would also say that while being similar to bugs, fetishes can be also interpreted as drivers, as they can serve to obtain arousal from certain objects, just like drivers serve to make use of certain devices. What's interesting, they can be treated as software, at least theoretically. They can be installed, modified or deleted.
I want to create some sort of almanac for all known fetishes one day, which will show how they relate with each other, as I think that all fetishes can be divided into hierarchical structures.
I also have a theory that fetishes emerge when two "channels" of perception are triggered simultaneously: arousal and the subject itself. They merge and create an associative bond that ties the said subject with the property of being sexually attractive.
My fox passion is a very strange thing, honestly. It dates back to the times when I was around four years old. It's unknown what caused it, sadly, but it's true that I was drawn to foxes since my early childhood. I really wish I could discover why that happened.
I think for me personally it's more than the feeling in the sport fan analogy, as the power of the resonance triggered by seeing fox as prey is much more disastrous and can lead to lasting depression and in certain cases even to nightmares.
As for the motives... Long ago, I made a bizzare abstract test idea. Imagine that two sentient creatures, preferably friends or, better, romantic partners, are being put through numerous obstacles, which they must pass without any external help. At the end of the test, one of them must sacrifice themselves to their partner, and the sacrifice is performed through vore. I think sacrificing yourself to your loved one can be considered a high motive, at least under certain circumstances. I used this abstraction as a plot device several times, although I sometimes omitted the vore aspect itself, which made it too abstract and less emotional.
In the comic I'm currently working on, however, the motives cannot be called high. There, it's partially just a part of war and partially a fetishistic desire of the predator. But I don't have a purpose for it to be a comic about vore, it's more just an add-on.
MIB2 may be not my first encounter, but it's certainly the most influential.
Thank you for providing a very detailed response, it was really interesting to read and it gave me a lot to think about.

You, my friend, spark my interest, i am too tired to reply as thurrowly as i would like it to be, so i aim to come back later.
The bond based on 2 triggers/channels between a object and a psychic process reminds me so much of alchemical work.
Short story is they did not have the thinking border between mind and matter, so the chemical work influenced the psychic process, and vice versa, i would like to drop the literature, but i have to get it, so thats hopefully when i come back arround.
Its brilliant, be proud of yourself
Also there is a scientific refference to something like that on the rim of my memory perception, but couldnt point to it rn.
Please create the almanac, it would be glorious
As a insensitive, i provide you with the link to the list of paraphilias as a starting point
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lis.....of_paraphilias
I like you, i am tired, have fun^~^
*hoping i was not to foreward, but brain is bleh*

Thank you very much for a detailed response! I love reading long and elaborate comments! And if I spark your interest, ask more questions - I'll be glad to answer them.
About being proud, were you referring to my fox passion or the test? It's called the Hildebrand test, by the way.
I'm seeking a platform to create the almanac currently, as I feel that paper is too simple for building the model. The best option would be SGI IRIX 3D file manager, but I don't have one, sadly. I also think that once the core structure is set, it would be fun to include picture samples of each fetish, so any explorer would have some point of reference.
Ah, I remember that list. It was the place where I learned that vore is a fetish.
I'm happy to hear someone likes me ^w^

Its always a pleasure ^~^
Proud about your way of thinking and reasoning i assume:Dd
I didnt really think it threw just a general impression ^~^
Thanks, i heard that name of the test before, but its the first time i see it in action/used^~^ i am grateful :)
What i do with such big projects, or what helps me, is a programmatic approach.
The visual is clearly the goal, but behind that, its data, meaning a data tree, like the tree comand in cli
Put differently if 3d is the goal dimension, 2d would be the paper dimension, and 1d would be language.
1d is easier and quicker to do things in.
if the general data structure is sorted out in 1d eg text, you can just extrapolate, if thats the right word, it into the higher dimensions.
It follows the structure of coding, so you have many prebuild tools for sorting, displaying and manipulating data.
For instance, if you have a database with all the data, you can let the pc sort it in the way you want, and if you suddenly want to change it, or add something, its no big problem.
You can add links to pictures, videos, or whatever you can imagine or make
Text is really a all purpose tool, whatever way you want to sort something, there is probably a simpler way to do it with text, which also gives you a great birds eye view over the big af system you are building
I hope that was somewhat helpful ^~^
And i am happy that you are happy x3 <3

Returning to vore, I think I will make a critical article on it in near future. After a lot of thought, I made some pretty interesting conclusions.
If you heard the name of that test before, it's extremely strange. As far as I know, I never made its concept and name publicly available. The only place where I ever called it by name is the game that I made, Zone of desperation, but I doubt you know about it. I would be very thankful to you if you try to recall where you heard about the test.
Setting it in text form first is a good idea, although it will require a lot of work. I'm not afraid of work, though, it would be more fun than routine, at least unless it comes to the area of fetishes that are capable of frying my brains. Although, I think with enough catalysts it should be fine.
You helped me a lot indeed ^w^
*feeling even happier* *intense tail wagging*
