The Moray belongs to:
-Boxkit- Background: Beast Slayer
Asmodeus belongs to:
Xelis Background: Barbarian
Norrec the drake belongs to, Norrec. Background: Hedge Knight
The kobold belongs to, Some Kobold. Background: Peddler
Gear, weapons, and respective NPCs (not our characters) belong to the game, Battle Brothers by Overhype Studios.
This art piece was commissioned for personal use.
This version removes the helmets off of Kobold (showing some more hair and head detail) as well as the Eel's helmet. Overall none of the sellswords have a helmet in this one.
In-game steel brow is a perk that disables taking critical or really the bonus damage when the character receives a hit to the head. At least the injuries won't be 'as' bad and some less fatigue by not wearing a helmet.

Haven't seen it posted on the artist's page and yet those stats look so criminal. 15 hours after upload and I'm the only one faving? What?
And it's such a nice artwork too. A bit confusing in some places but I'm sure if my brain could figure out the bits it wouldn't look off at all. In general it looks awesome!
And your moray character is equal parts cool and cute. ^^ Always nice to see more of him.

Oh, so for context:
All three versions were sent to me on the same day they were finished I just didn't want to upload the alternative variants immediately. As for the artist's page, yeah i'm waiting for them to post the main one at some point if they don't forget. Something I notice is artists tend to acquire backlogs of uploads and other issues even while FA is good for hosting a lot of content, people seem to not want to post it all for various reasons. That and organizing it.
Confusing eh? Well to give you an idea, they're fighting two different undead factions in a town and in the background is one of the noble armies waiting to defend the castle against even more undead. Technically our characters in this game's context would be sellswords (mercenaries) hired to destroy a necromancer who might be leading one side of the attack and of course raising the dead wherever he can. The necromancer appears on the top left.
Yeah I noticed these scenes tend to be kinda confusing in some aspects but I have fun with the idea of wanting to get large scene pieces.
In response to how ya feel about the moray, thanks. Also they're more of a, 'they.'

Yeah, I noticed some people having plenty of backlog too, not just artists even. xD I guess they just keep being busy.
And thanks for explaining the context of the piece, heh. It wasn't quite what I meant tho. I read your journal about incoming fan-art things so I more or less know what's up. :D What I meant was more of "what's that bit there" kind of thing. Just not understanding what the artist drew in some spots. xD But it's alright.

On top of trying not to flood the site trying to slowly trying to reduce the backlog. Yeah and lots of things occupy people's time and even wants.
Well scene context,
Norrec is giving the fallen hero (an undead knight, a flesh wound.)
Kobold is throwing a potion of acid and already melted some skeletons.
Asmdoeus is cleaving the honor guard's weapon in half.
The Eel just chipped off a part of the wing off of the ancient priest's ornamental helmet.
There's also a cameo on the top right with an assassin.
