Night was nearing as I was driving through the hills behind my house on this cold winter night. Looking to my right, I caught a glimpse of this spectacular display of colors through the pines. I pulled over, took out my SLR and tripod and captured this scene for you all to enjoy. A Tahoe Sunset.

Yeah, when I was driving over the mountain, this sunset was just too spectacular not to stop and gawk at. That road is quickly becoming my favorite to drive on during sunrise and sunset.
I use a Pentax iST-DS. It's a few generations old, but I love it.

on my 18-50mm zoom lens. This is a combination of a few pictures
that were taken from that vantage point and then the edges slightly
