The Dwarf Giant Class Bulk Cruiser, designed alongside the famed Neutron Star Class as a cheaper alternative the Carrack class Light Cruiser but saw little service until the breakout of the Clone Wars where the majority of the class had been in the service of Outer Rim Worlds and thus wound up in the service of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. After the war's end, many of these ships would be retained by planetary defense forces where these antiquated vessels could easily be destroyed if they ever rebelled but many of these vessels would later end up in the service of the Rebellion to Restore the Republic.
