Messengers are the postal service of the hive's collective pieces. They carry information between fragments and protect it with their lives, making them much more volatile and aggressive when in the presence of. Their tongues are much more elastic, likely due to their more prominent salivation containing some of the highest concentrations of hexatexime spores, and they are known to either bite or spit acidic globs of the spores at transgressors. Their builds are more lithe and flexible, giving them masterful aerial movement, with a wyvern-esque construction to their frames. Rarely, they will meld with their commoner companions to become a formidable master of land and air, combining the acidic salivation of the messenger with the brute and elasticity of the commoner.
When in flight, the sight of a messenger is often considered an omen, as the thicker concentrations of spores it produces look akin to a wraith with shadowy energy following it.
