"He didn't bounce." She said in disappointment. Denarius couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of his friend's disappointed face.

"So he did not." He said to her as he looked over the balcany to see the body of one of the ducal family members now in a bloody heap below. It served the dog right for trying to humiliate him that night, and the look on Luna's face when she had pushed him had given the snowy white immortal some amusement.

"You said he would bounce." She pouted. Denarius patted her head, careful to not disrupt the ribbon she was wearing that night. Luna's mother, the Lady Dark, had put a lot of work into Luna's outfit for the ball that night, and Denarius didn't really want to deal with being scolded by the older immortal.

"I suppose even I can be wrong sometimes." He told her. Luna sighed, and the two went back inside to enjoy the party, without a second thought to the dead mortal.




( Denarius and Luna are very young in this. Well, as young as two immortal beings can be. I'd say Denarius is a bit older than Luna(not that it really matters) by how many years? I'm not entirely sure. I don't really think of their ages unless it's relavent to the story. *shrug* )
