I got myself a free lill project car thanks to the oh so fuzzy
shirou14 (and his dad) A little ol 91 Pontiac Firefly Turbo. I have been working on cleaning and fixing it up though it is seeming to become apparent that she might be a bit more work than she's worth XD
I am debating fixing her up due to an insane amount of floorboard rustage that seems to be par for the course when it comes to things of this age. (aside my Civic because they thought ahead ;p )
The cars turbo is dead sadly and one cylinder has bad compression, but that still doesn't seem to stop her from blasting off like a cheap Chinese firework! (sure will make one epic property basher if anything else!)

Oh, wow! I've never seen one in that color before. I've owned a 91 Suzuki Swift GT, which is basically that little guy, except in a 1.3l DOHC. It was an extremely fun car to drive until the control arm mount under the driver's side footwell rotted out. We ended up making a cross brace which was welded across both sides. I'd really recommend doing that!
haha sounds like a fun idea XD
this car is just a 1.0L SOHC pretty basic little one, just with a turbo and intercooler
My main car is a 93 Civic SI hatch and that little firefly makes it feel like its some sorta luxury tank car by comparison, but I cant lie, that firefly with a cable clutch, no power steering and being so bread and butter, its just like that raw kinda fun XD

the body has only tiny rust spots, but yeah sadly the undercarriage is just toast, the floor boards themselves seem solid but its the rocker panels and bottom wheel well parts that really have had the crap kicked outta them.
I so wish I had a shop to actually pull her apart in, today was a nightmare sorta when I attempted to do the oil (never did) I couldn't get under her in any decent way with the two meh scissor jacks I had so im still sitting around with some decent oil, a filter and an un-used drain pan XD. I gotta pick me up some of those $50 ramps from Canadian tire or something.

haha yes, manual makes tiny cars like that just so much fun to drive, but it seems driving standard is a "dying art" these days, hell 3 years ago I had no clue how to drive standard, now im hooked XD I like to think that knowing how to drive standard makes one a bit more skilled in driving as a general in the sense that your forced to be more alert and aware of what your vehicle is doing.
The Geo Metro, Suzuki Swift, Pontiac Firefly and Chevy Sprint were actually all the exact same under the hood with only minor body and layout details done to them. But yeah, to what you said before, pretty much lol, though the engine is a 1.3L 3cyl instead of a 1.0L
well this one (when it was still alive ) actualy built up speed suprisingly fast, it had a cylinder that wasnt firing properly and its turbo was seized from rust XD I can't speak for the other ones but this one did get speed suprisigly fast since its so light, but yeah, top speed wise she feels unstable at around 110kmph (or roughtly 70mph) not the most stable car hahaha
