So I decided that I was going to have a New Years goal for myself to draw at least ONE thing every month. No stress, can be anything.
A pokemon Discord server (which I had joined when BDSP came out so I could get some trades done) hosted a Fake-mon contest for the Lunar New Year (Year of the Water Tiger).. and since the contest was in Jan.. I figured I'd use that as a good excuse to start drawing something. Also decided to force myself to use a new art program, so I've been playing with Krita.
ANYWAYS. Here's my Jan doodle. Supposed to be some special mythical pokemon that comes from some poor Meowth getting killed by a terrible, perhaps mythical, flood event.
NAME: Bengath
Great Tiger Pokemon Mythical
Type: Normal Ghost
Height: 6' 8''
Weight: 91.5 lb
Dex Entries (For 3 game versions because they need to start making 3 again.)
1. It is said that this Pokemon was once a Meowth whoms beach-side village was wiped out by a terrible storm. Every 60 years, it appears to watch over the rebuilt town from the coastal plateau.
2. When it appears, the gem on its forehead shines brightly and whiskers blink with an eerie light. When it senses a powerful storm, it lets out a roar that causes the ocean waves to retreat. It has only been seen during the years of the Water Tiger.
3. Long ago, a young girl saw the creature in the middle of the night, staring at the village. Because it was all alone on the New Year, she brought it some leftover dumplings and a single lily. Her kindness shown granted her a great blessing from the Mythical Pokemon.
