Aaaaangst time! Kinda, it’s borderline hurt/comfort, but I’m still very happy with this. After listening to the song “All of Me” by John Legend and immediately associated it with Enigma comforting Abaddon after a meltdown. I’ve only drawn emotional/vulnerable Abby once and it’s weirdly heartening. While I only drew a small portion of the lyrics, the entire song put me in an maladaptive daydream about Enigma consoling Abaddon after a particularly stressful day that was just too much for him. Abaddon rarely ever shows emotions, but Enigma has known him for a very, very long time and knows when he’s about to crumble.

In fact, a lot of Abby’s “I’m a cold hearted bastard that loves only myself” is a facade. While he is cold, he cares a lot and is not devoid of being capable of love, he simply tends to show it differently. Abaddon, despite what he’s been called and depicted as, has a heart, a shattered one, but that’s where Enigma comes in. No matter what mood his husband is in: rage, sorrow, joy, mourning, Enigma is by his side and Abaddon couldn’t be anymore in love.
