Because I can’t tell how much I love Asterix and Obelix, I tried to express myself by drawing them :D I love the first two live action movies, every comic and all animations about them. And I especially love the 3D animation, „The Mansions of the Gods” :DDD
I've made another sketch in the past, and I couldn't resist to draw them again in my own style. Sometime I’m craving for wholesome things, and they’re perfect candidates for such mood. They really melt my heart.

Bien représenté dans le film avec la charu pleine... de tablettes de pierres...tous ça juste pour une clef!
Quand on sait qu'il nous faut un dossier béton et épais comme un dictionnaire pour faire une demande en mairie, cette caricature a tout sa place!!

Those where my childhood, had every Movie on Tape, my Brother only owned one Comic back then. After Albert Uderzo in 2020 passed away i thought this would be the end of Asterix & Obelix, i did had to that point as adult the whole collection but they hire Didier Conrad as a new artist and they still making new comics that keep the spirit alive!
I know this is a European thing, most Americans have never heard of Asterix & Obelix before, i hope the US gives them more attention in the future^^

I have still some old comics of them and had the various old traditional cartoon recorded on vhs! It's a long-time delayed plan of mine to watch the latest traditional-drawn cartoons that i missed and the newest cgi ones.
As someone pointed out, sadly plenty americans don't know it.
(btw, i am from Italy and it's quite hilarious that Romans are dubbed with the Romanesque-like dialect that obviously didn't exist at the time as the italian language, but who care it's a classic xd)

I've had these with me since Childhood and while many cartons I've grown out of the dub and into the "original" set of voicing, I always prefer the dub for these two. There's something just so charming about how they were characterized that it is hard to get into anything else.

Asterix was one of the first episodic like comics i ever read following a similar formula
the romans trying to conquer this one Gaulish village whose secret magic potion make them invulnerable and strong
cue Asterix and Obelix and dogmatix and the various unique and hilarious villagers and their adventures
loved the whole thing
