Dude, as big of a fan of the comic as you seem to be, this is silly.
https://twokinds.keenspot.com/comic/1036/
"I do still think of myself as a guy."
Then he goes to the beach party presenting as male, and ends up telling Flora about his situation.

Her reaction is to refer to him as a guy.
No one is "triggered" by this, we're just exhausted by having to point out the same concrete details about the character over and over again because some people can't stand the idea that the comic has a trans character in it.

I spoke on this subject personally with Tom. And I formed an opinion about this based on Tom's answers. Nanati accepted her female half. Change in personality does not happen instantly. But now Natani does not consider herself "100% man" as it was on the first pages.
And yes, to close this useless conversation. This is art from a modern AU. Far stranger things can happen in AU than gender reversal. I think comic fans should have gotten used to the fact that side art can be non-canonical.
And accuse me of hating trances. After I commissioned an art that asked me to make Natani look like a man. Once again I am convinced that some people are looking for an excuse to pretend to be hated and oppressed.

Wow, the attack helicopter joke. That's super clever. And I don't know why you keep referencing some difference between Natani's first appearance vs now. He's just not dysphoric. That's it. Every time Natani has referenced how he wants to be seen or referred to, he's used male pronouns, so I do too. I don't what's so complicated about that or why you need to dig up excuses to ignore that.
Nat said "I see myself as a guy" as the most recent reference to how he identifies, and his ref sheet says his gender is male. I don't know else to tell you.

When I said "accepted her female half" I didn't mean the body. I was talking about personality. Tom said "Natani's been reunited with the feminine side of his mind". Yes. Mind damage is still there. Yes, part of her soul is still replaced by the soul of her brother. So, yes, Natani still considers herself a man. And that's why Natani uses bandages in this art to hide her breasts. But now it's no longer "100% male" now it's "feminine and masculine thoughts at the same time."
