Though, should stealth be paramount, Just a talon held pouch is sufficient and easily drawn into the fluff.

Flying without pouches, talons are fully retracted into the fluff. Gotta hide the weapons if being stealth.
Funny, Even modern stealth aircraft bear this characteristic, extending and retracting weapons as needed.
