Joke aside, I agree that long flat teeth are much freakier than goofy monster fangs, they really add to the spooky factor.

I blame the stupid sexy vampires and their pointy teefs, they've ruined them for all the other monsters who want to be taken seriously.

I think long flat teeth are scarier because it looks as if it'd really hurt to be bitten, and for sure would leave a nastier/messier wound that would be harder to fix up than a wound caused by purpose-built fangs.

As an aside, I really dig the way you did the eyes on this piece, for whatever reason seeing those smol eyes paired with that massive mouth pokes the right part of my horror addict brain XD

I remember when I first played RE4 as a wee lad nothing particularly struck me as scary, then I heard these motherfuckers breathing and lumbering toward me and felt pants-shitting terror.

basically same, although when i was younger the novistadors reallllly really really bothered me

I agree with your comment about the teeth. Long flat teeth are significantly more unsettling than long sharp ones, I agree. It looks much more unsettling and unnatural.

hell yeah, fingers crossed they DON'T scrap the regens cos everyone keeps rumoring about how Capcom's gonna ditch the island segment without actually knowing if they are or not

If they ditch the Island I wouldn’t be… Entirely upset? I would be pretty disappointed though, as it does contain the best action moment, AND second best horror moment in the game, IMO. The parts in between were kinda eh, but the regenerators were super neat (if not a little overblown in how scary they are, apart from those PERFECTLY horrible noises they make),and Krauser and his fortress were a great part of the game for me.
