It's a Finn rifle, so it's probably safe to say that it got a great deal more care than did the Russian counterparts.

Maybe, hopefully you did, I'ved cleaned mine for 2-3 hours total just working on the barrel and its still really bad.

One thing I've tried that's worked well is Kroil. I have an SVT-40 that had a charcoal-black barrel, and I ran a bunch of Kroil through the barrel and a few brass brush strokes later, I can see the rifling, and a pretty good reflection. And this is after dumping CLP and vigorous brushing, too. Same thing with a Mauser I was going to use for a project, it's like new, and now I need another Mauser for this barrel I have.

I will have to look into that. I can see rifling in mine and its kind of shiny, but theres still a bunch of crap all in it. I was just going to spend like 30 mins every few days on it until its clean :P

I spent HOURS on a write up of guns I posted last night. At 2am they were ALL deleted. It took an hour of arguing and then finally looking for the answer myself..... The AUP has been changed this morning and you can no longer post pictures of personal items (ie. guns) in Scraps!

119 service years and counting. designed and put into service in 1891. Some third would countries still HAVE them, but not in the numbers they used to. Actually, I'm not aware of ANY country that still has them as their primary service weapon anymore.
