I can understand that. The deer's not just been deprived of his life, but the end result generally looks creepy which does nothing for honoring the deer's sacrifice. Fortunately, faux taxidermy (such as made via crochet or felting) is a thing and the results aren't all that hard to make and generally look worth it.
