As an artist I'm a big fan of horses just being horses. Not all prettied up for the show ring or other performance, but simply existing as their own beings. So when I set out to give this Breyer Classic mustang mare an appaloosa makeover, I wanted her to tell a story rather than just being another pretty picture. So her palomino blanket appy coat has been liberally marked with "dirt". Whether she's been splashing through muddy riverbanks, or simply picked the dustiest spot to roll in, only she can tell, but I'm sure she's had a good time!
