Alas, those who watched Genesis Arc of SMG4 series + War Of Two Fat Italians (WOTFI) 2021 know the sad fate of Axol...
Unspoil this section if you watched SMG4 series from Anime Arc straight to Genesis Arc.
Axol was such a nice friend towards SMG4's gang, even his long time fan Fishy Boopkins had the same interest in manga and anime. Firstly, he was introduced as a famous manga artist who was found in Japan by SMG4 and his gang and got asked to join them in order to help them unban anime in Mushroom Kingdom. He was kidnapped along with Meggy by Francis (the evil nerd from Paper Mario) - he was rescued by the gang, but with the sacrifice of Meggy's rival - Desti;
Later on as time went on - during the Majora Mask episode, the mask landed on a watermelon (Melony - SMG3's Meggy) turning it into a female anime character, who likes to sleep (and is still a good computer hacker) - she is still the character important to the SMG4 lore even after Genesis Arc...
Anyways, Axol fell in love with Melony and became more caring for her and supportive... He was a TRUE GOOD BOYFRIEND MATERIAL.
During the Genesis Arc, where SMG4 and SMG3 had to learn about their existence - they learn about SMG0 and they decided to join forces and attack the demon... It attacked also Axol, which brought him back, but little did he suspect, it got him corrupted as time went on... Later, Axol couldn't be rescued, so he had to be sacrificed in the final epic battle between SMGs and their team against SMG0 who took over Axol's body...
Before both SMG0 and Axol's death, Melony finds Axol's subconciousness and then Melony is given the comic Axol had made for her, but didn't finish. Before Axol leaves the SMG4 world (in other words - dies), his last words to Melony were Thank you for the adventure.
And so, SMG0 was defeated for good, but at what cost? Well, at least lucky fans could buy the merch that could give them a nice memories of Axol - since he was their favourite character.
He was also my favourite, however, I couldn't buy myself the Axol plushie nor the notebook that had this comic that Axol made for Melony.
So, this artwork could show me - as one of Axol's biggest fans on his Meet n' Greet, where I request him to do a drawing of me. Wouldn't it be nice - if you (a biggest fan of a certain manga artist) would meet the artist and request him to draw you in his artstyle?
Let's just take this as some sort of "autograph".
